Raymond Baraldi, MD, Appointed Vice President of Medical Affairs at Bryn Mawr Hospital

Raymond BaraldiRaymond L. Baraldi, Jr., MD, has been named Vice President of Medical Affairs (VPMA) for Bryn Mawr Hospital (BMH), a part of Main Line Health (MLH). In this role, Dr. Baraldi will work with BMH and MLH medical staffs to continue to ensure consistency, continuity and excellence in clinical services as BMH embarks on a growth plan for the future. Dr. Baraldi returns to BMH, where he served as a practicing radiologist and physician leader from 1987 to 2005.

“With his extensive knowledge of health care organizations, coupled with his deep roots at Bryn Mawr Hospital and Main Line Health, Dr. Baraldi is a tremendous asset to our team,” said Andi Gilbert, president, Bryn Mawr Hospital. “He joined us at a pivotal time when we are launching the largest modernization and renovation project in the hospital’s history.”

Dr. Baraldi has more than 30 years of health care leadership experience in both clinical and operational management with a deep involvement in quality and patient safety initiatives. He returns to MLH from the Cooper Health System, where he served as both Acting Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Radiology. Dr. Baraldi began his clinical training at BMH as a medical student, then continued his residency training in Diagnostic Radiology and Internal Medicine. Subsequently, he practiced radiology and held leadership roles at the hospital, including Radiology Residency Program Director, Department Chairman, and Chief Medical Officer.

A graduate of Villanova University and Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Baraldi also attended the Wharton Physician Leadership Program at Main Line Health. He is certified by the American Board of Diagnostic Radiology and is a member of the American College of Radiology and the Pennsylvania Radiological Society.
