(Paoli, PA)— Effective November 3, Jim Paradis assumed his new role as President of Paoli Hospital, part of Main Line Health (MLH), transitioning into the leadership position following the retirement of Barbara Tachovsky, who retired after 13 years of service as the Hospital President.
In his nine years with MLH, Paradis has served as Vice President of Operations at Bryn Mawr Hospital, Vice President of Administration at Riddle Hospital and most recently, Vice President of Administration at Paoli Hospital.
“With more than 25 years of healthcare experience and a career highlighted by successive executive leadership roles in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, Jim’s extensive knowledge of complex healthcare systems management and operations has prepared him for this new role,” said MLH President and CEO Jack Lynch. “I have no doubt his considerable talents will successfully guide Paoli Hospital into the future.”
In his most recent position as Vice President of Administration at Paoli Hospital, Paradis led and directed a variety of administrative, support and clinical ancillary services as well as strategic planning and program development for cardiovascular and orthopedic service lines. His efforts helped to ensure Paoli’s recent recognition by The Joint Commission as a Top Performer in the United States as well as the Hospital’s designation as a Top 100 Hospital in the nation by Thomson Reuters (now Truven Health Analytics).
Prior to joining MLH, Paradis held several executive healthcare roles, including Chief Operating Officer for Graduate Hospital and Vice President at Hahnemann University Hospital. He received his Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business and his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
