New Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Named at Main Line Health

Lydia Hammer(Bryn Mawr, Pa. – September 17, 2012) – Lydia Hammer has been appointed Senior Vice President (SVP), Marketing and Business Development for Main Line Health. Hammer is responsible for overseeing Main Line Health’s efforts in marketing, business development, strategic planning, and communications as it continues to position itself as a regional leader in providing high-quality care and a superior experience.

With over 25 years of healthcare experience, Hammer has an extensive background in both hospital management and healthcare consulting. Her roles include Vice President for Planning, Marketing and Public Affairs for Hahnemann University Hospital, Partner and Executive Vice President for The Katz Consulting Group, and Partner, Kurt Salmon Associates.

Most recently, Hammer served as Director of Business Development for St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. In this role, Hammer reported to the CEO and was responsible for all strategic planning, new program development, and marketing. Prior to her role at St. Christopher’s, Hammer founded Lydia Hammer Health Care Management Consulting—a business development and strategic planning consulting firm.

Hammer holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Maryland and she earned her Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley with a specialization in Health Policy, Planning and Administration.

Hammer and her family reside in Villanova, PA.
